Jesus The Bridge To Heaven ( mini series) lesson 9

The goal of this lesson is to present what the Holy Bible teaches about what
a  person must do to restored to a holy fellowship with God, through His Son
Jesus.

outline of lesson 10 :

Are you ready to put your trust in Jesus The Christ  ?

* As your redeemer ?  The One who paid for your sin debt , that separated you
from fellowship with God.

*  As your Savior ?    The one who has the authority to rescue you from the eternal
punishment  of The Lake Of Fire .

*  As your keeper ?  The one who will give you eternal life , and seal you in His
Holy Spirit  .

*  As your provider ?   The One who will provide all that you will need to obey His
commands , To call you , To lead you , in the way you should live; that you are
able be pleasing in God’s sight.

What will you do with this Jesus ?

Acts chapter 4 : 12
” And there is salvation in no one else ; for there is no other name under Heaven
that has been given among men , by which we must be saved . “

A .  What will happen to those who receive Jesus as their personal Savior ?

John chapter 3 : 16
” For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever
believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. “

B . What will happen to those who reject Jesus as their personal Savior ?

John chapter 3 : 18
” He who believes in Him is not judged ; but he who does not believe has been
judged because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son Of
God. “

The Bible, God’s instruction book on how to enter fellowship with Him.

John  chapter 4 : 23 – 24
” But  an hour is coming , and now is , When the true worshiper shall worship The
Father in Spirit and Truth ; for such people The Father seeks to be His
worshipers. ( 24 )  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in
Spirit and Truth . “

Will you be a Cain , or an Abel  ?

Genesis chapter 4 : 3 – 7
” So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to The Lord
of the first fruit of the ground.   ( 4 )  And Abel, on His part also brought of the
firstling of his flock and of their fat portions .  And The Lord had regard for Abel
and for his offering ;   ( 5 )  but for Cain and for his offering , He had no regard. So
Cain  became very angry and his countenance fell.  ( 6 )Then The Lord said to
Cain, ” Why are you angry ? And why has your countenance fallen ?  ( 7 )   If you
do well, will not your countenance be lifted up ?  And if you do not do  well , sin is
crouching at the door ; and it’s desire is fore you, but you must master it. “

What must a person do to be saved ?

Romans chapter 10 : 9 – 10
” If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God
raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.  ( 10 ) For with the heart man
believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses ,
resulting in salvation. “

Jesus The Bridge To Heaven ( mini series) lesson 8

The goal of this lesson is to present the evidence that Jesus, The Christ ‘ s death
was not circumstantial, but predestined!

Jesus’ death – Fate or Predestined ?

9. Jesus paid the penalty for sin

Romans chapter 8 : 3 – 4
” For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did send
His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He
condemned sin in the flesh  ( 4 ) in order that the requirement of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Romans chapter 4 : 4 : 24 – 25
But for our sake also, to whom it will be reckoned, as those who believe in Him
who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead ,  ( 25 ) He who was delivered up
because of our transgressions , and was raised for our justification

10. Jesus seen by many after His resurrection.

Angels proclaim His resurrection at the tomb where Jesus was buried .

Luke chapter 24 : 2 – 7
And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,  ( 3 )  but when they entered,
they did not  find the body of The Lord Jesus. ( 4 )   and it happened that while they
were perplexed about this, behold , two men suddenly stood near them in
dazzling apparel ;   ( 5 )  and as the women were terrified , bowed their faces to
the ground, the men said to them, ” Why do you seek the Living One among the
dead  ?  ( 6 )  He is not here, but has risen.   Remember how He spoke to you
while He was still in Galilee,   ( 7 )  saying that The Son Of Man must be delivered
into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”

Jesus appears unto His disciples.

Luke chapter  24 : 36 – 48
And while they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst.
(  37 )  But were startled and frighten and thought they were seeing a spirit.
( 38 )  And He said to them , ” Why are you troubled , why do doubts arise in your
hearts ?  ( 39 )  see My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself ; touch Me and see, for
a spirit dose not have flesh and bone as you see that I have.”  ( 40 )  and when He
said this, He showed them His hands and feet.  ( 41 )   And while they still could
not believe it fo joy and  were marveling , He said to them ,  “  Have you anything
here to eat ? “  ( 42 )  And they gave Him a piece of broiled fish ;  ( 43 ) and He took
it and eat it before them.  ( 44 )  Now He said to them , ” These  are My words
which I spoke to you while I was still with you ,  that all things which are written
about Me in the law of Moses and the prophets and Psalms must be fulfilled.”
( 45 )  Then He opened their minds to understand the scriptures ,  ( 46 )  and He
said to them , ” Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from
the dead the third day ;  ( 47 )  and that repentance forgiveness of sin should be
proclaimed in His name to all the nations , beginning from Jerusalem.  You are
the witnesses of these things . “

Jesus The Bridge To Heaven ( the mini series)

Jesus The Bridge To Heaven ( Mini series ) lesson 7

The goal of this lesson is to present the evidence that Jesus , The Christ ’s death
was not circumstantial, but predestined !

Outline of lesson 7 :

Jesus’ death on the cross – was it fate or predestined ?

Isaiah chapter 53: 1
Who has believed our message to whom has the arm of The Lord been revealed
( 2 ) for He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of a
parched ground ; He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon
Him, nor  appearance that we should be attracted to Him. ( 3 ) He was despised
and forsaken of men, a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief ; and like one
from whom men hid their face, He was despised and we did not esteem Him.
( 4 )  Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried ; yet we our
selves esteemed Him stricken , smitten of God , And afflicted. ( 5 )  But He
was pierced through for our transgressions , He was crushed for our iniquities ;
the chastened for our well being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are
healed. ( 6 )  All of us like sheep have gone astray , each of us has turned his own
way ; but The Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.  ( 7 )  He was
oppressed and He was afflicted , yet He did not open His mouth ; like a lamb that
is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before it’s shearers, so He
did not open His mouth. ( 8 )  By oppression and judgment He was He was taken
away ; and as for His Generation, who considered that He was cut off out of the
land of the living for the transgressions of My people to whom the stroke was
due ?  ( 9 ) His grave was assigned  with the wicked men , yet He was with a rich
man in His death, because He had done no violence , nor was there any deceit in
His mouth.  ( 10 )  But The Lord was pleased to crush Him , putting Him to grief ; if
He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offering , He will
prolong His days and  the good pleasure of The Lord will prosper in His hand.
( 11 )   As a result  of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied ; by
His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant , will justify the many, as He will
bear their iniquities. ( 12 ) Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, and
He will divide the booty with the strong ; because He poured out Himself to death ,
and was numbered with the transgressors ; yet He Himself bore the sins of
many , and interceded for the transgressor.

Jesus foretold His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead to His
disciples.

Mark chapter 8 : 31
And He began to teach them that the Son Of Man must suffer many things and be
rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and after three
days rise again.

Jesus told Nicodemus that The Son Of Man had to die on the cross to reconcile
man back to fellowship with God .

John chapter 3 : 14 – 15
” And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness and even so must The Son
Of Man be lifted up. ( 15 )  That whosoever  believes may in Him have eternal life.”

The Bronze serpent healed the bitten Israelites.

Numbers Chapter  21 : 7 – 8
So the people came to Moses and said, ” We have sinned because we have
spoken against The Lord and you ; intercede with The Lord that He may remove
the serpents from us. And Moses interceded for the people.  (8 )  Then The Lord
said to Moses , ” Make a fiery serpent and set it on a standard ; and it shall come
about , that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it , he shall live .”

Jesus knew He was going to be betrayed to the religious leaders by one of His
disciples ; He knew the betrayer by name, yet did not try to stop him .

John chapter 13 : 25 – 27
He leaned back thus on Jesus’ breast , said to Him ,” Lord , Who is it ? “
( 26 )   Jesus therefore answered, ” That is the one fore whom i shall dip the
morsel and give to him. “  When He had dipped the morsel , He took and gave it to
Judas , the son  of Simon Iscariot. ( 27 )  And after the morsel , Satan then entered
into Him.  Jesus therefore said to him, ” what you do, do it quickly . “

Jesus  rebuked one of  His disciples when he tried to prevent Jesus’ arrest , by
striking a slave of the high priest.     Jesus tell them that if it was God’s will, He
could prevent His own arrest.

Matthew chapter 26 : 50 – 54
And  Jesus said to him , ” Friend , do what you have come for.”  Then they came
and laid hands on Jesus seized Him.  ( 51 )   And behold one of those who were
with Jesus reached  and drew out his sword struck the slave of the high priest ,
and cut off his ear .  ( 52 )  Then Jesus  said to him, ” Put your sword back in it’s
place ; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword.  ( 53 )  or do
you think that i can not appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal
twelve legions of angels.   ( 54 )   How then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that it
must happen this way ? “

Jesus did not defend Himself against the false testimonies that were spoken
against Him at His trial .

Matthew chapter 27 : 12 – 14
And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He made no
answer.  ( 13 )  Then Pilot said to Him, ” Do You not hear how many things they
testify against You ?  (14 )  ” And He did not answer him with regard to even a
single charge, so that the governor was quite amazed.

In the midst of His suffering on the cross, Jesus did not doubt His own identity as
God’s sent Savior.

Luke chapter  23 : 40 – 43
But the other answered, and rebuking him said, ” Do you not even fear God, since
you are under the same sentence of condemnation ?  ( 41 )  And we indeed
justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds, but this man has done
nothing wrong.  ( 42 ) ” And he  was saying, ” Jesus , remember me when You
come into your kingdom ! ” And He said to him, ” Truly I say to you, today you shall
be with Me in Paradise. “

After Jesus fulfilled all of the things that God predestined to take place on the
cross, He proclaimed that it was finished .

John chapter  19 : 13
When Jesus therefore had received the sour wine , He said , ” It is finished ! “
And He bowed His head and gave up His Spirit .

Through Adam came separation from God, Through Jesus came reunion with
God.

Romans chapter 5 : 12 – 15
Therefore,  just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death
through sin , so death spread to all men , because all sinned . ( 13 )  For until the
law sin  was in the world ; but sin is not imputed where there is no law.
( 14 )  Nevertheless death reined from Adam until Moses, even over those who
had not sinned in the likeness of  offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was
to come.  ( 15 )  But the free gift is not like the transgression, for if by the
transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of one Man ,
Jesus Christ, abound to the many .”

Jesus The Bridge To Heaven ( mini series) lesson 6

The goal of this lesson is to present the evidence that Jesus is The Promised
Messiah.

Outline of lesson 6 :

Jesus : God’s promised Savior

Jesus granted eternal forgiveness.

Mark chapter 2 : 9 – 12
” Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, your sins are forgiven ; or to say, arise,
take up your palette and walk? ( 10 )  But in order that you may know that The Son
Of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, He said to the paralytic, ( 11 )  ” I say
to you rise, and take up your palette and go home.”  ( 12 )  And he rose and took
up  the palette and went out in the sight of all ; so that they were all amazed
and were glorifying God and saying,” we have never seen anything like this.”

7. Jesus destroyed the works of the Devil.

1 John chapter 3 : 8
” The one who practices sin is of the Devil ; for the Devil has sinned from the
beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the
works of the Devil .”

8 . People bore witness to Jesus being God’s Savior.

Witness : Simeon

Luke 2 : 25 – 32
” And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon ; and this
man was righteous and devout, looking for the constellation of Israel ; and The
Holy Spirit was upon him.( 26 )  And it had been revealed to him by The Holy
Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen The Lord’s Christ.  ( 27 )
And he came in The Spirit into the temple : and when the parents brought in the
child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the law, ( 28 )  then he took Him
into his arms , and blessed God and said, ( 29 )  ” Now Lord now doest let Thy
bond servant depart in peace ,  according to Thy word ; ( 30 )  for my eyes have
seen Thy salvation ,  ( 31 ) which Thou has prepared in the presence of all
peoples,  a light of revelation to the gentiles, and the glory of Thy people
Israel.

Witness : John The Baptist

John chapter 1 : 35
” Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked
upon Jesus as He walked and said,” Behold, it’s The Lamb Of God ! “

Witness : God The Father

Luke chapter 3 : 21 – 22
” And now it came about when all the people were baptized that Jesus also was
baptized, and while He was praying, Heaven was opened,  ( 22 ) and The Holy
Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove , and a voice came out of
Heaven, “Tho art My beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased .”

Luke chapter 9 : 34 – 35
” And while He was saying this , a cloud formed and began to overshadow them ;
and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.  ( 35 ) And a voice came out of
the cloud  saying, ” This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him. “

Witness : Demons

Luke chapter 8 : 26 – 28
And they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes which is opposite of Galilee, ( 27 )
and when He had come out onto the land , He was met by a certain man from the
city who was possessed with the demons ; and who had not put on any clothing
for a long time , and was not living in a house, but in the tombs. ( 28 )  And seeing
Jesus, he cried out and fell  before Him, and said in a loud voice, ” What do i have
to do with You , Jesus , Son Of The Most High God ?  I beg You, do not torment
me. “

David ;     ( 33 )and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever ; and His
kingdom will have no end.  ( 34 ) Mary said to the angel, ” how could this be,

word by his disciples, ( 3 ) and said to Him ,” Are You The expected One , or
shall  we look fore someone else ? “  ( 4 ) And Jesus answered and said to
them, “  Go and report to John what you hear and see : ( 5 )  the blind receive
sight and the lamb walk, the lepers are cleaned and the deaf hear, and the dead
are raised up, and the poor have The Gospel Preached To Them. ( 6  ) And
blessed is he who keeps from stumbling over Me.”
